France Football have compiled a list of the best players in the world aged 21 or under for their magazine this week. In first place is Memphis Depay, second is Marquinhos at PSG and third is Raheem Sterling, who Manchester City have just spent £49m on.
In fourth is Kurt Zouma which is remarkable considering he’s not even a nailed on first team player yet. Marquinhos may have problems getting through the David Luiz and Thiago Silva pair at PSG but he still manager to pick up 37 games last season either in place of one the other Brazilians or at right back. PSG know they need to keep him happy.
Kurt Zouma managed 26 games as Mourinho tried to give him opportunities and prove everyone wrong who insists he won’t give youth a chance. Mourinho tried Zouma as a midfielder on occasion but France Football say he sees the player as the next Marcel Desailly, and they reckon he also sees Zouma as the rock on which the future of Chelsea defence will be built upon.
